Following up the POLIN Museum’s founding campaign, during which the Association raised PLN 165 million, we are continuing to raise funds for:

  1. POLIN Museum in the area of: development and enrichment of the Museum’s permanent exhibition, enlargement of collections (works of art and exhibits), temporary and travelling exhibitions, educational and research programs, artistic programs and other public programs relating to the culture and history of Jews from Central and Eastern Europe;
  2. Jewish Historical Institute in the area of: selected educational, exhibition, publishing and artistic projects/programs relating to the culture and history of Jews from Central and Eastern Europe;
  3. other scholarly, educational and artistic programs relating to the culture and history of Jews from Central and Eastern Europeconducted in cooperation with the POLIN Museum, Jewish Historical Institute and other organizations;

Special 2016–2017 projects, for which the Association is seeking funds:

  • “In Good Company” – a prestigious installation in the POLIN Museum devoted to Polish Jews who achieved distinction in literature, art, music, science, scholarship, politics, law, education and many other fields. The planned opening date of the exhibition is October 2016.
  • “Polish Jews in the world” – the last gallery (epilogue) of the permanent exhibition at the POLIN Museum devoted to the history of Polish/East European Jews in the world. The planned opening date of the exhibition is October 2017.
  • “Archive More Important than Life” – permanent exhibition at the Jewish Historical Institute devoted to Emanuel Ringelblum, the Oneg Shabbat group and their struggle to preserve memory. The exhibition is to be opened during the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Jewish Historical Institute in 2017.
