The history of trees in Muranów, Warsaw’s prewar Jewish neighborhood, is the starting point for the Stacja Muranów Association project to raise local awareness of the neighborhood’s history through the lens of a particular witness, nature, including the legendary mirabelle plum tree, which miraculously survived the Warsaw ghetto uprising. Workshops and walking tours not only inform, but also promote respect and intercultural appreciation.
