Publication in Polish of Sefer Zikaron Volomin – The Memorial Book of Wołomin Jews

The Zikaron Foundation is publishing, in physical and electronic form, The Memorial Book of Wołomin Jews (Sefer Zikaron Volomin), published in Yiddish in Tel Aviv in 1971, and in English in New York in 2022. The book is an exceptionally valuable collection of memories of the rescued Jewish residents of the town of Wołomin, where Jews made up almost half of the prewar population. The Memorial Book is a treasure-house of knowledge about the life of Jewish Wołomin: schools, political parties, organizations, key figures in religious, political and economic life. It is also a record of the tragedy of the Holocaust and the difficult history of the community after 1945.
