Students of Primary School No. 76 and Primary School No. 124 took part in the project “Archipelag Falenica,” which enabled them to explore the history, culture, and traditions of the Jewish community of pre-war Falenica.
As part of the project, the following activities were carried out, among others:
- A screening of the film “Falenica Atlantis” and a meeting with its co-creator,
- A historical walk through Falenica,
- Workshops on creating a branching narrative game,
- Work in a recording studio and classes using the Canva application,
- Workshops on oral history and historical reconstruction,
- A talk on Jewish cuisine combined with a tasting,
- An exhibition of Art Deco–style posters inspired by Jewish Falenica.
The students learned how to research and document history using modern tools. The outcome of their work was an interactive outdoor game telling the story of the characters Ruta and Kazik, also available in the form of an audiobook. The game will become part of the Library’s permanent educational offer for schools in the Wawer district.
The project concluded on June 24, 2025, with a ceremonial finale at the Kulturoteka in Falenica, combined with the presentation of certificates and gifts to the participants.
Thanks to the engagement of students and teachers, the project not only preserved the memory of Falenica’s Jewish community but also brought it to life through creative educational activities.
