Building a monument in the Jewish cemetery in Nowy Targ

The Popiela Family Foundation “Centrum,” erected a monument in the Jewish cemetery in Nowy Targ to commemorate the Jewish community murdered during the Holocaust. The monument, which names more than 2,000 victims, is part of their “People, Not Numbers” project. They also identified and preserved mass graves. Educational activities and lessons on the Holocaust were held for schoolchildren, who will care for the cemetery in the future.
