The project “Cleaning of Matzevot and Maintenance of the Greenery at the New Jewish Cemetery in Chmielnik,”implemented by the Chmielnik Cultural Center in cooperation with the “Świętokrzyski Shtetl” Educational and Museum Center, aimed to protect and preserve Jewish heritage in the region.
As part of the project, the entrance gate was renovated, the grounds were cleared and shrubs trimmed, and the matzevot were cleaned with the assistance of a professional stone conservation company.
The project engaged the local community and social partners, including the Przystań Chmielnik Association. Its implementation contributed to improving the condition of the cemetery, raising historical awareness among residents, and honoring the memory of the victims of the Holocaust.
