The second edition of the Jewish Culture Festival in Zabłocie took place from June 2024 to June 2025 and had a cultural, educational, and community-building character. Its aim was to present the history and traditions of the Jewish community that for centuries co-shaped the life of Żywiec and Zabłocie.
As part of the project, eight historical meetings were organized, workshops held during the local Fair, a guided walk around the Jewish cemetery, and a lecture by Prof. Jakub Slawik on the Hebrew language. The festival’s highlight was the premiere concert of klezmer music by the GanGalitzian ensemble, which attracted more than one hundred participants.
The project also included the publication of educational graphics about Jewish holidays, as well as a podcast and a film shared on social media. A total of 258 people took part in the events, and information about the festival appeared in more than 30 articles and media features.
