A project dedicated to the culture and heritage of Galician Jews took place in Tarnów, with its central event being the open-air musical and theatrical performance “TISCH,” staged by the Bimah—the symbolic site of the former synagogue.
The performance combined live klezmer music, singing in Yiddish and Polish, puppetry, animation, poetry, and traditional Jewish songs, creating a deeply moving encounter with Jewish culture.
Approximately 300 people attended the event, and information about the project reached more than 120,000 recipients. Directed by Andrzej Głowacki and featuring young actors and musicians, the performance demonstrated how art can build bridges of memory between the past and the present.
