Memorial Book of the Jewish Community in Tomaszów Mazowiecki (Tel Aviv, 1969) is being edited and republished by the LOGTV Foundation. This 700-page volume, in Yiddish and Hebrew, chronicles the history of this community from as early as 1789. It includes biographies of rabbis, tsadikim (Hasidic leaders), and local celebrities, describes Jewish life in all its aspects, and deals with the Holocaust and post-Holocaust period, including the activities of Tomaszów landsmanshaftn (hometown societies) across the globe. Publication of the Memorial Book will raise awareness of how the Jewish community of Tomaszów Mazowiecki arose and developed from its inception to its destruction.
