The project implemented by the Sztetl Mszana Dolna Foundation aimed to restore the memory of the Jewish community of Mszana Dolna, which played a significant role in the town’s cultural and social life before World War II.

Through a series of cultural and educational events, the project sought to strengthen local identity and build connections between contemporary residents and Jewish heritage.

The planned activities included:

  1. A collective reading of Jewish poetry from the rediscovered pre-war “Anthology of Jewish Poetry,” translated by Samuel Hirszhorn.
  2. A concert of pre-war Polish popular songs composed by Jewish artists, accompanied by a lecture.
  3. An educational meeting focused on the fates of Holocaust Survivors, with the participation of descendants of Jews from Mszana Dolna.

The events were recorded and streamed online, allowing participation by audiences beyond the region. The project was carried out from June through the end of December 2024 in Mszana Dolna and the surrounding area. The initiative engaged local residents, schools, cultural institutions, and volunteers, supporting intercultural dialogue and the preservation of local heritage.
