As part of the project They were our neighbors – Kutno Jews, the Society of Friends of the Kutno Lands is preparing a temporary educational exhibition on the history of the Jewish community in the central Polish town of Kutno. The vernissage will be accompanied by a public lecture by Dr. Janusz Pawlak, author of two publications on the Kutno Jewish community, and a documentary film. Guided tours of the exhibition will also be organized for students at Kutno primary and secondary schools. There hasn’t yet been an exhibition in Kutno on the history of the town’s Jews, hence the need to spread knowledge about the local Jewish community among residents.
