Translation of the Sokołów Podlaski memorial book

Sokołów Jews who survived the war, like survivors from many other localities, wrote memoirs and recorded the histories of Jewish communities that disappeared. Their stories, written in Yiddish, have become a monument to these communities. The Sokołów Podlaski memorial book in five volumes is one of the most extensive, which is why the Gszarim Foundation is translating it in stages. They completed the second stage in 2021. The newly translated text sheds light on Jewish political life in the town and the activities of the religious, Zionist, and socialist parties.
