The Wrocław-based European Education and International Cooperation Foundation FREYA implemented the project “Unbroken Women – Stories of Women During the Holocaust and World War II.” The aim of the initiative was to introduce young people to the lives of women who, under extreme conditions, demonstrated courage, strength, and resilience.

At the 15th Upper Secondary School (XV LO) in Wrocław, historical and art workshops were held during which students created roll-up displays presenting seven heroines, developing their portraits and biographical profiles. These materials were later used in subsequent classes in other schools, where students analyzed the lives and attitudes of women facing the challenges of World War II and the Holocaust.

Coordinated by Małgorzata Czaicka-Moryń, the project combined education with students’ creative work and encouraged deeper reflection on values tested during times of historical hardship.
