The Warsaw ghetto uprising broke out in 1943 on April 19, which was Passover eve, as it is in 2019. The City of Warsaw and City of Łódź have declared 2019 the Year of Marek Edelman, a leader of the uprising, on the centenary of his birth. Wear the yellow daffodil on April 19 and remember Marek Edelman, who would lay yellow daffodils at the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes on this day.
