Marian Turski, historian and journalist, has been the head of historical section of Polityka weekly since 1958. He is a member of the Main Board of the Association of Jewish Veterans and Victims of the Second World War, a President of the International Auschwitz Committee,
a Member of the International Council of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and a member of the Council of Wannsee Conference Memorial and Educational Site. Mr. Turski is an author or co-author of numerous books. Since 24 March 2009 Mr. Turski has been acting as the Chairman of the Council of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
Mr. Turski has been a member of the Board of the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland since 1995. Between 1995-1999 and since 2011 he has been Vice President of the Association and between 1999-2001, President.
