The purpose of the Association of Friends of Mińsk Mazowiecki was to clean up the Jewish cemetery, one of just a few physical traces of the Mińsk Jewish community. For several years, the cemetery has been used primarily as the main site of the city’s observances of the anniversary of the liquidation of the local ghetto, and the cleanup made the space available to residents and descendants of Mińsk’s Jews.
