Conservation of a chest belonging to Anna and Erich Schwarz is a project of the Museum of the City of Łódź, which is located in the Poznański Palace. The chest was found in the attic of a Łódź apartment building in the former area of the ghetto and entered the Museum’s collection in 2004. The married VI. PRESERVATION couple had been deported from Vienna to Łódź on 29 October 1941, where they were registered at 35/11 Brzezińska Street. She worked as a seamstress, and he as a technician. On 14 May 1942, they were transferred to the death camp at Chełmno nad Nerem, where they were murdered.
