Conservation of the museum collection of the JHI

A subsidy for the JHI.

The project focused on conservation of two resources from the Jewish Historical Institute: book with photographs owned by Abraham Morewski and 8 drawings from Lodz ghetto by Izrael Lejzerowicz. The book contains private photographs of Abraham Morewski (1886-1964), one of the most talented actors of the Jewish scene, as well as photos from his theatre plays, reviews from newspapers and invitations to plays. The drawings from Lodz ghetto by Izrael Lejzerowicz, talented painter and poet part of new generation in Lodz, were in terrible condition and required immediate conservation. Conservation of 8 out of 113 works by Lejzerowicz might be a step towards saving the whole collection.
