An index of the Jewish cemeteries in Żywiec and Kęty for the gravestone database is a project of The Foundation for Documentation of Jewish Cemeteries in Poland.
The Association is supporting the process of making digital photographs of all inscriptions on gravestones from these two cemeteries. The transcription and translation of data extracted from these inscriptions is published on the Foundation’s open-access website, along with photographs, location data, and a names search. Since 2006, the Foundation has indexed and made available a full inventory of 89 cemeteries from all over Poland, together with over 100 000 photographs and related inscriptions.
