Publication of letters from the Tomaszów Ghetto, the first publication project of the Spaces of Memory Foundation, whose purpose is to preserve the multicultural heritage of Tomaszów Mazowiecki, consists of about 100 letters. Nineteen-year-old Izrael Aljuche Orenbach of Tomaszów, known to his friends as Lutek, sent them to Edith Blau, who lived in Minden. They record life in the Tomaszów ghetto. The last surviving letter is dated February 1942. Lutek was never found. Edith saved the letters as a memento of their love. For us, they are a priceless personal record of a tragic period.
