Tombstones from the cemetery in Bełchatów were used during and after the war as building materials and to reinforce the wooden bridge on Cegielniana Street. It was only in 2019, during roadworks, that hundreds of fragments were found. The Association of the Center for Jewish Research is inventorying these fragments and will make the results available on a dedicated website.
