Grant for the Gryf Szczecin Chess Club for the project “Jewish Artistry in the Sport of Chess in Polish Lands between the Wars”

Akiba Rubinstein, Ksawery Tartakower, Paulin Frydman, and Dawid Przepiórka, the greatest chess players of the interwar era. It was thanks to them, among others, that the Polish represantation won the gold medal at the 1930 Chess Olympics, a success that has never been repeated. The Gryf Szczecin Chess Club organized a tournament and workshops for youth, entitled “Jewish Artistry in the Sport of Chess in Polish Lands between the Wars.”
