Marking of 25 Jewish graves

Grant for the Zapomniane Foundation for marking of 25 Jewish graves

Poland is the site of hundreds, perhaps thousands of forgotten graves of Holocaust victims. Most such places are still unmarked, even though knowledge of them remains in collective memory. In response, the Zapomniane Foundation decided to place simple wooden markers on 25 wartime Jewish graves. The shape of these markers recalls the tombstones in prewar Jewish cemeteries.
