Memorial for Holocaust victims from Chodaczów, Dębów, Białoboki, and Gać

Grant for Polish Center for Holocaust Research for memorial of Holocaust victims from Chodaczów, Dębów, Białoboki, and Gać

A new memorial restores dignity to Holocaust victims from Chodaczów, Dębów, Białoboki, and Gać whose remains were exhumed after the war and laid to rest in the Military Cemetery for Victims of Nazism in Jagiełła-Niechciałki, Podkarpackie province. Today, they lie in common graves, marked only by rusty plaques on which are just the numbers of the exhumation records. The new memorial — stone blocks on which are inscribed the names of victims — is a project of the Polish Center for Holocaust Research. In addition to supporting the work of distinguished scholars, the Center is dedicated to remembering the forgotten victims of the Holocaust.
