“No More Killing Fields,” a project of Friends of Wojsławice Association, commemorates the place where the town’s Jewish residents were shot to death. The SS and gendarmerie executed a group of about 60 Jews in a meadow next to the local Orthodox church in October 1942. The victims included about 20 children. The monument, which saves the location from oblivion, is a fitting memorial to this tragic event.
