The aim of the project is to permanently commemorate Jews who lived in Grabów and nearby towns, and were exterminated in 1942, through creating a monument and personal plaques at the Jewish cemetery. The monument will consist of the central space shaped like a broken matzevah with a David’s star. The project includes educational initiatives in schools and among the local community. The monument is extremely significant as the cemetery is one of the few memories of the former Jewish community, its current state is distressing.
