Publication of Mira Ryczke-Kimmelman’s memoir Echa Holokaustu (Echoes of the Holocaust). Born in 1923, Ryczke Kimmelman describes life in interwar Gdańsk and her wartime experiences in Warsaw, in the Tomaszów Mazowiecki ghetto, and at the Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen death and concentration camps. After the war, she immigrated to the United States, where she started a family and devoted herself to Holocaust education. In 1997, the University of Tennessee Press published her memoir. She died in 2019.
