Publication of Świece zgasiła wojna. Historia społeczności żydowskiej w Dobczycach (War blew out the candles: The history of the Jewish community in Dobczyce) by the Józefa Bergelówna Public Library in Dobczyce. The publication is meant to help the residents of Dobczyce preserve the memory of the Jewish community that once lived there by bringing awareness, especially among young people, of the history of their former neighbors and their tragic fate. The book is of interest not only to the residents of Dobczyce, but also to descendants of the town’s Jews, who also supported this initiative. The publication will be accompanied by an exhibition, The Jewish inhabitants of Dobczyce.
