Over the course of history, Czarnków has been a city of three faiths. Its earlier multiculturalism is attested to by historic structures that still stand today, one of which is the Jewish funeral home from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, built next to the Jewish cemetery that dates from 1819. The building is not only one of just a few such historic structures still remaining in Wielkopolska province, but also one of the most important structures in the Jewish history of Czarnków. It needs cleanup and preservation work, which will be performed by a group of volunteers organized by the Society of Czarnków History Enthusiasts.
