Traces of Jewish Warta

A plaque on the main square bears a town map showing the most important places related to the history and culture of Warta’s Jews. This map offers an educational route for both residents and tourists. This plaque, a project of Traces of Jewish Warta, continues activities that students of the local primary school undertook under the patronage of the Ireneusz Ślipek Foundation on behalf of Polish-Jewish dialogue in Warta. These activities led to the creation of a folder, Traces of Jewish Warta, which serves as a guide. Members of the Foundation, together with local school students and residents, are also cleaning the local Jewish cemetery and will place new information boards there.
