The Zagłębie Theater in Sosnowiec will create a comprehensive proposal for a program commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liquidation of the two largest and most populated ghettos in the Zagłębie region, in Sosnowiec and Będzin. The theater plans to organize lectures and trips around places connected with the history of Zagłębie Jews, with a focus on the history of the liquidation of the ghettos. Additionally the theatre will organize a concert by the Karol Rathaus Ensemble, a group that presents the work of Jewish composer Karol Rathaus, and present a production of Środula. Krajobraz Mausa (Środula: the Landscape of Maus) directed by Remigiusz Brzyk, which the Zagłębie Theater will fund on its own.
