In 1985 the book was translated to English. In 2015 the Marek Edelman Dialogue Center published a Polish translation of the first volume. It tells the story of Łódź Jews just before and during the first months of the Second World War, and describes daily life and relations between people in extreme situations. Thanks to the financial support of our Association, the second volume was published.

A novel by Chava Rosenfarb about multicultural Łódź was first published in Yiddish in 1972.
