POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is the first public-private cultural institution in Poland. It was founded jointly in 2005 by the government (the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage), the local government (the Capital City of Warsaw) and a non-governmental organization (the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute). Association initiated the Museum project in 1993 and it is still supporting it today.

Jewish Historical Institute is one of the most important research institutes concerning Polish and Central European Jews.

Taube Philanthropies supports programs in the San Francisco Bay Area, Poland and Israel. Areas of concentration include education and scholarship, Jewish cultural renewal and heritage preservation, institution and community building and public policy initiatives oriented to preserve American principles. It was founded by Mr. Tad Taube – one of the Founding Benefactors of POLIN Museum. The organization supports POLIN Museum projects as well as the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute activities.

The Nissenbaum Family Foundation was founded in 1983 with the aim of rescuing testimonies and Jewish heritage in Poland. For years its activity has concentrated on the restoration and protection of Jewish cemeteries as well as the commemoration of sites of Jewish struggle and martyrdom within the present-day borders of Poland. One of the Foundation’s chief aims is also to educate young people in a spirit of dialogue and respect for Jewish spiritual and material heritage.

The mission of the Jan Karski Educational Foundation is to instill in people – especially youth – the values of leadership, courage and integrity, as exemplified by the life of Jan Karski. To meet this mission, our tactics include propagating Karski’s legacy with educational activities and public events.

Initiated by one of the POLIN Museum Distinguished Benefactors – Mrs. Corinne Evens – The European Committee for the Museum of The History of Polish Jews has contributed through its donors to the preparation and opening of the Paradisus Iudaeorum Gallery, depicting the life of Polish Jews from 1569 to 1648. The Association regularly organizes trips to Poland and cultural events allowing the Friends of the Museum to share exceptional moments in Poland, surrounded by people and living history.

Union of Jewish Religious Communities brings together Jewish communities in Poland. The Union’s main goal is to organize religious and cultural life for its members, as well as maintaining synagogues, prayer houses and historical cemeteries.

The March of the Living is an annual educational program which brings individuals from all over the world to Poland and Israel in order to study the history of the Holocaust and to examine the roots of prejudice, intolerance and hate. Since the first March of the Living, held in 1988, over 220,000 participants from 52 countries have marched down the same 3-kilometer path leading from Auschwitz to Birkenau on Holocaust Remembrance Day – Yom Hashoah – as a silent tribute to all victims of the Holocaust.

UJA Federation’s mission is to preserve and strengthen the quality of Jewish life in Greater Toronto, Canada, Israel and around the world through philanthropic, volunteer and professional leadership. Year after year UJA’s Annual Campaign – which raises approximately $60 million annually – allows UJA to care for our most vulnerable ones, build and strengthen Jewish identity and education, invest in Israel and overseas and promote Jewish/Israel advocacy, while also creating infrastructure throughout the GTA that serves not only the Jewish community, but the community-at-large.

Jewish Federations of Canada – UIA supports organizations and programs that strengthen the national Jewish collective and enhance the greater Jewish community.

The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) is the world’s leading Jewish humanitarian assistance organization. Since 1914 JDC has exemplified that all Jews are responsible for one another and for improving the well-being of vulnerable people around the world.

Organization established in 1925 in Wilno that preserves, studies, and teaches the cultural history of Jewish life throughout Eastern Europe, Germany and Russia, as well as orthography, lexicography and other studies related to the Yiddish language. World War II and the Holocaust forced YIVO’s relocation to New York in 1940. Today YIVO’s collections are the primary source of the documentary history of East European Jewry and the surviving record of millions of lives of Jewish victims of the Holocaust. YIVO brings treasures from its library and archives to broad audiences via a rich array of programs, including lectures, concerts, and exhibitions, adult education and Yiddish-language programs and courses, books and scholarly publications and fellowships for scholars.

Weil, Gotshal & Manges is international law firm, consistently ranked as one of the most prestigious law firms in the world. The Warsaw branch of company has been providing in-kind legal consulting services to the Association for several years.

Polaron provides translation, multimedia and multilingual project management services to corporate and individual clients. We also assist people with Polish roots to confirm their Polish citizenship and conduct genealogical research worldwide.

The mission of the Museum, located in New York, is to educate people of all ages and backgrounds about the broad tapestry of Jewish life in the 20th and 21st centuries – before, during and after the Holocaust.

The Australian Society of Polish Jews and Their Descendants is dedicated to preserving and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of Jewish life in Poland and to fostering understanding between current and future generations of the Polish and Jewish communities

JCC Warszawa is a people-oriented initiative, uniting people of Jewish descents and their spouses, and friends of non-Jewish origin. Organization encourages to experience modern Jewish culture and with help of top academic figures and educators provides experimental Jewish education.

JCC Krakow has a program suited for the needs of the developing, multi-generational, and varied community of Cracow. Various clubs, as well as holiday celebrations (including weekly Shabbat dinners) bring members of the community together. Day to day the Center organizes workshops and language courses. The JCC cooperates with different Jewish institutions e.g. the Jewish Culture Festival, the Galicia Jewish Museum and the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

Anyone with at least one Jewish grandparent can became a member of The Jewish Community of Warsaw (with its branch in Lublin), based on the so-called ‘Law of Return’. The organization fulfills the mission of self-government, presently it has about 700 members. It gathers those who practice both traditional and liberal Judaism. The Jewish Community of Warsaw aims at creating a wide range of social, educational and cultural activities, as well as helping people in need.

The most important goal of the Shalom Foundation is to preserve the rich heritage of the Yiddish culture from oblivion. The Foundation organizes Yiddish courses, lectures, workshops, educational contests, theatre and TV shows, exhibitions and festivals; it is also a publisher. The organization has opened Yiddish Culture Center, Jewish Open University and Third Age University.

The primary mission of the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland is to protect and commemorate the surviving sites and monuments of Jewish cultural heritage in Poland. Organization is active in areas impossible to reach by the Jewish Communities because of the distance. The Foundation revitalizes prominent Jewish structures in Poland, such as cemeteries, synagogues and other religious, cultural and social areas.

The mission of Forum for Dialogue is to create new connections between contemporary Poland and the Jewish people. Work of the organization focuses on raising awareness of the histories of Jews in Poland, creating bonds between Jews living in various parts of the world and the country of their ancestors. Forum for Dialogue works with thought leaders, activists, teachers and students from Poland and from abroad.

Donors Forum in Poland is an association of independent grantmaking organization operating in Poland with an aim to support public benefit causes. The organization integrates foundations and associations, which activity focuses on: science and education, social aid, cultural heritage and art, environmental protection, international cooperation. The Forum helps those institutions to serve better their grantees and improve effectiveness of their grantmaking, as well as strives to raise public image of grantmaking foundations in Poland.

The Association Drugie Pokolenie brings together descendants of Holocaust survivors. Members of the Association cultivate traditions of their ancestors, celebrate Jewish holidays and preserve the memory of family traditions.

TSKŻ has been active in Poland since 1950 – it is the biggest Jewish organization in the country. It organizes cultural events, anniversaries, Jewish art exhibitions, conferences and lectures, Yiddish courses, as well as summer camps for children. In the headquarters you can find a library with a collection of Polish and Yiddish books. Moreover, every month the organization publishes a magazine in both Polish and Yiddish.

The Association brings together survivors of the Holocaust and grants them support. The members of the organization are those who survived the war thanks to hiding their cultural identity after being adopted by Polish families. Moreover, it preserves the memory of Jewish lives in Poland and will never let the experience of the Holocaust be forgotten. The Association aims at providing both material and emotional support for its members, as well as honouring the Righteous Among the Nations.

The main aims of the Association are social involvement and the protection of interest of Jewish combatants and victims of the Holocaust, as well as remembrance of the Jewish military action and fight for freedom. The Organization also fights discrimination, xenophobia and anti-Semitism. Members of the Association are former members of the military formations, former prisoners of ghettos and Nazi camps, survivors of the Holocaust by hiding their identity, as well as exiles and refugees to the Soviet Union.

DeBenedetti Majewski Szcześniak Kancelaria Prawnicza sp.k. has been offering us ongoing legal advice since 2012. DMS has supported the implementation of the project of permanent exhibition in the POLIN Museum through, among other things, complex legal services in the area of Polish law (in particular copyright law) and, where necessary, the law of the state of New York.
DMS has drafted, among other documents, a memorandum on the problem of archival materials, making them available and conservation.
DMS regularly advises the Association on its operations.

American Friends of POLIN Museum is a nonprofit organization from New York. It supports initiatives that preserve and promote legacy of Polish Jews and help to build bridges through time, space and amongst people. Co-Chaired by Mr. Zygmunt Rolat and Mr. Wiktor Markowicz – POLIN Museum Founding Benefactors, it supports various Museum projects in cooperation with the Association. Andrzej Rojek is the President of AFoPM.
